Next Rally -Trail ride at Wakiti Creek Resort- Sunday 12th January
Venue: Wakiti Creek Resort, Yambuna Bridge Road, Yambuna.
Cost: $8 per head for use of resort facilities for the day (BBQ, Pool etc) plus $2.50 if you would like a yard. Money will be collected from families at gear check. Club will provide a BBQ lunch at 1pm (sausages, drink, Zooper Doopers and fruit. BYO anything else you might like). Camping etc available (dogs and horses allowed) at Wakiti if you want to stay: contact the resort direct for this.
Gear Check: 10.10am (Sally/Kerrie/Alison). Normal PC gear rules apply to members.
Cards: Sally (otherwise will be signed as per attendance register at a later rally. Members responsibility to get cards to DC for signing)
First Aid: Alison Hilet
Equipment: MEDICAL ARM BANDS REQUIRED for all children riding. Mobile phones to be carried with each group. Alison is bringing the Club first aid kit. BRING YOUR BATHERS as resort has a nice pool and playground area.
Format: Aim for first group to leave by 10.30am. There are longer and shorter trails available through the State forest about 300m down the road from the Resort. Small groups of 3-4 riders in each, DC/Acting DC to finalise groups once all present. Adult riders acting as instructors will be responsible for each group (Adult instructors so far are Alison Hilet, Kerrie Taylor, Penny Dyson, Leesa O’Neill). Plan for a one to two hour ride (depending on route taken), all groups to be back at resort by 12.30 – 12.45 for lunch at 1.00pm.

Directions From Echuca you take the Murray Valley highway towards Shepparton and the turn-off to Wakiti is signposted (big blue sign) down Curr road. Go down Curr road and not far after it becomes dirt there is a right hand turn (signposted Wakiti) towards Yambuna bridge. Keep following the dirt through the farmland and into the bush, go over the single-lane Yambuna Bridge and keep following the road until it comes out of the bush and the resort is pretty easy to spot on the right.

First Aid and Food Handling courses
For those of you interested in doing a First Aid &/or Food Handling course. BEPC received a grant of $2800.00 this year, and it was decided that some of that money could be spent on the above courses.
The cheapest First Aid Course is run through Echuca Regional Health. It costs $130.00 for the full course or $65.00 for CPR update only. Times & days are flexible. Full day is 9 - 4.30 pm, or 2 evenings can be arranged. They need 12 people for it to go ahead (can be external applicants as well).
Campaspe College Of Adult Education hold a 'Use Hygienic Practices For Food Safety' course.
6-10pm $90.00. To be held Feb 4th, April 1st, June 3rd. This is recommended for those that will be 'helping in the kitchen'. This education is a prerequisite for the 'Food Supervisors' course, which only one of us needs to do (& I am happy to do it).
