January rally- Sunday 11th Trial ride
RSVP to Alison Hilet 0437 800 145
It will be a trail ride from Hilet's place, at 294 Lady Augusta Road Echuca Village. The format will be one shorter (about 5-6km) and one longer ride (around 8km to 15km depending on options taken) over mainly dirt roads and bush tracks along the river. As there will be many people around in the bush (boats etc) it will be an earlier start than usual.
Gear check: 9.00am
Rally start: 9.15 – 9.30am
Trail ride: 9.30 until 12 noon (approximately. Shorter ride will probably finish closer to 11am.)
Lunch: BYO lunch (I have a BBQ that people are welcome to use) and water/soft drinks. I will have Zooper Doopers. Bring your bathers if hot, we have a pool!
First Aid: Alison
Cards/Assistant DC: Alison
Car and float parking: in my front paddock (please enter via silver gate just along from our main driveway. Swing wide to make the turn with your float, as it is narrow).
We also have a round yard if required for lungeing etc…
RSVP to Alison please on 0437 800 145. I also need to know numbers of adult supporters riding, as I have to sort out groups. All members need to wear medical armbands and all groups will need to have at least one mobile phone with them.
People who are not club members but who want to join us are welcome but MUST fill out a PCAV day attendance form PRIOR to rally and pay the appropriate fee (unless a member of an affiliated body, in which case the fee is waived when membership card is sighted). Juniors wishing to Come and Try Pony Club may also attend, as long as the form is filled out and brought to the rally. Come and Try fee is $20.

BEPC’s extreme weather policy will apply to this rally ie if the forecast temperature for rally day is over 38 degrees on the night before the rally, the rally will be cancelled. Members will be notified via text and/or email should this occur (at the moment the forecast is looking good at 24 degress).

Club competitions: We were successful in obtaining the following dates for our competitions later this year. Please mark in your diaries: Sunday May 17th 2015 – combined Horse Trials with Nathalia Pony Club at Barmah. Sunday August 30th – BEPC showjumping and dressage day at our grounds.
February Rally: is traditionally a twilight rally on the Saturday night of Southern 80 weekend. This year it will be Saturday February 7th, please mark in your diaries. Also on this day, BEPC will be helping out with car & boat parking in Hare St for the Southern 80 Show and Shine display. A great chance to get up close and personal with some of the event’s major competitors and their very big boats (whilst wearing a fluoro vest!). We earn $500 for a morning’s work so please let the committee know if you are available to help.
